PLEATHER, POINTS & STRIPES

I’ve been looking for a good pair of coated jeans for a while now and haven’t had any luck in finding some that fit me. As an alternative, I turned to these pleather leggings from Bebe. I’m a firm believer that leggings shouldn’t be worn as pants, but these are an exception.

There’s something refreshing about leather-like pants or leggings. They are the perfect contrast with feminine pieces and provide just enough edge to an outfit. They can make an outfit look more luxe and interesting even when dressed down.

I wore them for the first time on an outing to the J. Paul Getty Museum. Covering my backside while wearing these leggings was important for me, so I went with a simple look with a utility blouse and long vest on top. To match the edge in my outfit given by the leggings, I wore my quilted crossbody inspired by the Chanel boy bag. I spent the entire day strolling the galleries and gardens and surprisingly, I felt really comfortable wearing them.

Leather leggings are versatile and are a nice change that can easily work with your existing wardrobe.  I’d like to know, what is your opinion on leather leggings? And how would you wear them?
